Wild and Radical is actually NORMAL.
Everything that is considered and accepted by masses and widely consumed and accepted as “normal” is abnormal to me. Everything considered “abnormal”, with common sense and close to human natural state is actually “Normal” to me.
Parenting: What’s normal is child from their birth on TVs, pads and phones. From 5 years in institutions minimum 7 hours a day indoors followed by loads of homework on computer and endless extra curriculars and tutors. Time to free play, be outside, get muddy and scratched up from climbing and falling, eat freshly made meals together at the table, free think and problem solve, and be with family/siblings has basically gone down to 0 and even that time is spent with everybody on their phones. Sadley, we have slowely taken parenting out of the family unit and the family unit out of society.
Doing opposite of that is considered wild mothering/ parenting. Whats so wild and radical about not caring about irrelevant grades but caring about all things above stated that are dying down?
Birth: Home birth is radical, wild, reckless, weird but what’s radical to me is germ infested place, women dressed in a gown somebody died in yesterday, laying hooked up on monitors and IVs while on her back, needle in their spine, not allowed to eat/drink during birth-while peeing thorough a catheter. What’s radical is having twenty strangers staring you down while you give birth to your most vulnerable state. What radical is cutting women vagina so baby can come faster. What’s radical is not having your support system because it’s not “safe”. What’s radical is women giving birth in masks! Whats radical is giving two shots to a baby freshly born minutes after it takes first breath earth-side along with antibiotic on their eyes!
Health: we have replaced nutrition: food that grows freely and organically in good soil with fast food, lunchables, sugary drinks and products, deep fried everything, bagged bread and produce infested by herbicides, pesticides and hormones. We replaced sunshine, sleep and exercise with hundreds of pounds of excess weight, pills, vaccines, nasty masks, sanitizers and anti-viral-bacterial crap, surgeries and endless checkups.
How did we accept this as normal? Smiley faces? Flat screens in the “patient” rooms with pretty music? Shaming that if you don’t take this route you will be shamed- ostricized? Are we fearing to be called wild, radical, weird, uneducated? Seriously, how did we accept this as the way of life? I understand, it’s hard to step out and do things differently. It takes courage, it takes adjustment, it takes relearning things and letting go, it takes patience but its WORTH IT.
DONT DO NORMAL THINGS.
