The Five P’s

Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.

This is simple. This is powerful, but it’s only as powerful as you make it. You use it and practice it.

Almost anything I can possibly think of from coaching, to business, to athletic career, to school... even hobbies like cooking and gardening hold this statement true.

More than often I see people disappointed about shortcomings, but yet when I ask, “Have you done everything you could to prepare?” the answer is always NO.

Our results are a direct reflection on prior preparation.

Where we lack preparation, we leave the results to chance.

Where we prepare adequately and strategically, we always get the desired results, if not more than we imagined.

This process also allows for less stress, less anxiety, and more confidence.

Whatever you envision yourself doing, spend most of your time in preparation and putting systems in place to ensure positive outcomes.

If this doesn’t happen, go back and see what the holes were in your preparation process, what you can learn, and what you can do differently going forward.

No Excuses!
