Go Outside!

IMG_3158.jpg

We created these tee-pees for my crawling veggies this spring and summer. We used fallen pine trees that were laying around and we think they look pretty good!

I started some seeds a week ago for berries and fruit trees and they look happy. It’s amazing how things will grow when you put them in the right environment and give them what they need to develop and mature.

I’m worn out from working outside, but it’s a good feeling. It’s good to use my body in ways that I don’t use it in the gym or on the volleyball court or while I’m caring for my kids.

Being outside provides so many other benefits, too. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Increased levels of Vitamin D

  • Increased physical activity (if you don’t just sit there!)

  • More happiness and other positive emotions

  • Greater concentration

  • Faster healing

You can read more about these benefits here.
